Home Remedies For Peptic Ulcer

Ulcers that develop in the stomach are known as stomach or peptic ulcers. These ulcers are usually quite painful and the pain is felt immediately after eating. It takes about one to one and a half hours - the time it normally takes to digest food - and then decreases. Because of peptic ulcers , a person is afraid to eat anything and is likely to be malnourished.

There are two types of peptic ulcer problems in humans - acute and chronic ulcers. Acute peptic ulcers can occur suddenly in the digestive tract. Their pain is much more severe and is immediately felt when spicy or fizzy foods are eaten. These types of ulcers often cause nausea and vomiting. Another type of ulcer, chronic ulcer, is a long-term condition that cannot be easily treated. When any type of food is eaten, they cause constant pain. A burning sensation causing nausea and vomiting is common.

Peptic ulcers are a digestive problem; hence it stems from pitta weakness. Specifically, peptic ulcers can occur when the body's digestive fever, known as pain, is disturbed. Ayurvedic treatment of peptic ulcers tries to reduce the pain by calming pitta dosha.
